Type of steel and characteristics:
Martensitic stainless chromium steel with nickel addition. Heat treatable grade, capable of taking a mirror finish.
Applications:
Naval construction, mechanical and plant engineering, dairies, yeast factories, starch and paper mills, compressor construction and mechanical components such as shaft, piston rods, spindles, armatures, pump parts, stirrers, valve parts, nuts and bolts and etc.
Heat Treatment:
Hot Forging - 1100 - 800°C
Annealing - 650 - 750 °C
Stress relieving - Approx. 650 °C
Hardening - 980 - 1030 °C
Tensile strength - 750 -950 MPa
Tempering -620 – 720 °C
Quenching Medium - Air, oil.
