High Carbon High Chromium cold work tool steel. Grade featuring excellent toughness and good wear resistance.
Applications:
Cutting tools (dies and punches), blanking and punching tools, cold forming tools e.g. drawing, deep drawing and extrusion tools, coining tools, thread rolling dies, shear blades, measuring tools, wood working tools.
Heat Treatment:
Hot Forging -1050 - 850°C
Annealing - 800 - 850°C
Stress relieving - 650 - 700°C
Hardening - 1020 - 1040°C
Hardness obtainable - 61 - 63 HRC
Nitriding - 540°C
